Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist is accountable for evaluating, planning, and executing all aspects of Occupational Therapy, infant through geriatric, with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to develop and restore maximal functional level.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer’s status.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
In Swingbed, the primary caseload is 18 and older, pediatrics caseload is birth to 21, with occasional coverage for patients in other age ranges.
Education and/or Experience
Master’s Degree is required.
Doctorate Degree is preferred.
0-6 months experience is required.
1-2 years’ experience is preferred.
Valid Driver‘s License is required.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS
Must be currently licensed to practice Occupational Therapy by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is preferred.
Work Schedule
8:00 am - 5:00 pm as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$30.25 - $45.75 per hour
